Im looking to book our next trip during December. Id love to see WDW all decorated for the holidays.. we are back and forth on a Mod or Value resort.. just cant do the Deluxe this trip. What Resorts in Mod or Value are the most festive/decorated? Do you have pictures? And what resorts (any level) are the nicest decorated so we can visit/have an ADR there. thanks!

Obviously the higher the level of resort, the more they are decorated; being deluxes the most.

You can find pictures on the Resort photos and video board at the top of this board. You can search christmas.

Deluxes:

GF, WL, AKL, and BW are my favorites

Moderates:

POR is my fav

Never been to any of the values, so cannot say for sure.

You can also get the best bang for your buck by doing the loops.

Go to MK, and take the boat over to WL, go back to MK and do the monorail loop.
Go to DHS or Epcot and take the boat on the BW/BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin loop.
Plan a nice dinner at Sanaa and see both AKL and Kidani Village, plus take part in the evening viewing of the animals on the savannah.

Go to DTD and do the loop to POR/POFQ and catch Yee-hah Bob's Christmas show in the lounge at POR. Worth an evening doing that.

thank you!!

I don't know if you would be interested in staying in a cabin at Fort Wilderness or not, but the decorations that people put out at their campsites are amazing! You could probably google some pictures of that.

I have been for the last 3 Christmas seasons, and it is truly lovely to see the decorations. My absolute favorite is the Osbourne dancing lights in DHS - a must see, IMO.
The GF's tree is beautiful - a character breakfast at 1900 Park Faire or a more pricey dinner at Narcoosees or Citricios (I prefer Narcoosees) makes for a nice excuse to visit.
WL has a large woodsy/lodge themed tree - artist's point is a nice dinning option (I've not tried the more moderate restaurant @ WL.)
FW I agree w/ the pp - some of the campsites are over the top w/ lights and decorations - I wandered around looking at them when I arrived early for a Whoop Dee Doo dinner 3 yrs ago.
AKL - has a large tree in the lobby of Jambo - Sanaa, which is in next door Kidani, is great and if you have lunch there you can see the animals on Sunset Savannah as you eat, but I also like Boma's evening buffet (in Jambo -where the huge tree and night vision binocs are) and Jiko's, also in Jambo house, is a great choice for signature dinning.
The Chocolate Carousel in the Beach Club is a must see decoration for me - possible dinning options are Cape May buffet in the Beach Club, and Yachtsman, which is next door at the Yacht Club.
Even if I'm not eating at a particular resort, I like to visit during the holidays. I also really enjoy the Christmas stuff that's out at the countries in Epcot's world showcase and the special holidays illuminations.
Some people do a monorail loop, stopping at the GF, Poly and CR for a drink. A DHS to Epcot boat loop, getting off at each resort to check out decorations (BC, YC, BWI, Swan & Dolphin.)
DTD is a must - particularly the Christmas ornament store!
Lovely time of year to visit.

like POR for moderate
Pop for value

for deluxes -- WL/VWL, GF, AKL/V, BC/YC/BCV, BW

definitely go along with touring FW - unless the new rules means less decorations and it might.
