Resorts and check cashing

HELP! Ok so I do the Payroll for my job. Checks are distributed on Thursday but dated Friday. I leave next Thursday for "home" and will have my check in hand BUT cannot cash it until Friday. Does anyone know if resorts will cash a check for a guest? Unfortunately I am counting on that money for spending money on vacation.

Could you talk to your boss and see if you could get an exception and have your check dated a day or two early? My company did that once for me, when I was in a crunch.

I was actually planning to do that when I go in tomorrow! BUT I figured I'd ask here first in case that doesn't go in my favor! LOL!

Years ago I was able to cash a check at the resort, but I don't think they will do it anymore. And I was able to cash a personal check from my account. If you are asking if the resort will cash your paycheck for you, I highly doubt it.

Disney used to be able to cash a personal check up to $100.00 a day, but they no longer do that.

I would suggest gift cards. Unfortunately Disney is not a bank.

There were a few times I asked my employer for an earlier dated paycheck due to vacation. They were more than happy to oblige. They cut a manual check, and I had time to cash it before I left. That is your best bet.

There is a branch of Suntrust bank across the street from Downtown Disney.

You used to be able to deposit/cash a check after 2pm the day before the check was dated. Not sure if that's the case now but you could try just depositing it Thursday and using an ATM Friday to get the funds. It's been so long since I had to deposit a paper check that I can't remember now the banking rules

If you have a car I think Walmart cashes payroll checks

They don't cash checks any more. They stopped 1-2 years ago.

I used to work in a bank for 14 years. (last was in 97)

Example, If your check is dated Fri Aug 10th, you will be able to cash your check 1 day before on Aug 9th.

Banks are allowed to take a check 1 day before.

I would call your bank to confirm this.
