I am not used to Universal, because I usually spend my time at Walt Disney World. However, this winter I am hoping to spend it at Universal. However, I have some questions I think you may have the answer to.

For one, I do not drive. Therefore, I was wondering if there is a hotel onsite or transportation to the parks?

Thanks.

There are three on site hotels and all offer transportation. Actually it's a short walk to the parks from the Hard Rock Hotel and the Royal Pacific resorts.

Since you don't drive, you'd better skip Universal. ;) After you experience the convenience of staying onsite & walking everywhere, you'll never want to go back to WDW. :teeth: You can walk from Hard Rock Hotel to US in 5 minutes. Add another 5 minutes or less & you can walk to IOA. From Royal Pacific, we can walk to IOA in 10 to 15 minutes. (Although, some people apparently make it faster.) Add your 5 minutes or less & you're at US. Portofino Bay is walkable, but it's a much longer walk. They have bus & boat service, as does HRH & RPR. I recommend taking the boat to & from PBH. We also ride the boat to & from RPR more often than we walk. From HRH, we always walk. FYI, all boats load & drop off in the center of CityWalk. Universal's set up is very convenient, & perfect for a relaxing vacation. You'll love it! :thumbsup2

This is very true! I experienced that on my trip last week. I loved the fact that everything was so close. We stayed at PBH and did make the walk a few times. Its nice if you're not in a rush. The boats were great. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the next one. We took the shuttle twice also during a passing storm. Sometimes at Disney, I feel I waste so much time traveling and waiting for the busses. It really did make the vacation so much more relaxing and enjoyable. :thumbsup2
