My bf and I are checking into all star movies around 330 when we arrive. We didn't want to buy tickets for just half a day so we were planning to go swimming and check out the other resorts. We were wondering which resort has the best pool/pool slide.

Thanks!

You won't be allowed to use the swimming pools at the other resorts. Only those at the 3 All-Star Resorts. Disney is quite strict about this, particularly at the deluxe resorts (i.e.,the resorts with the best pools). They conduct random resort ID checks and will ask you to leave if you can't produce an ID for that resort.

You're welcome to visit the other resorts, to dine, shop, walk around, rent boats, everything but use the pools. It's fun to check out the monorail resorts...just take a bus from your All-Star resort to the MK, and hop on the monorail to visit GF, Poly, and CR. All three of them have interesting shops and great places to eat.

If you are staying at All Star Music, you are permitted to use the pools at any of the other All Star resorts. Pool hopping isn't permitted between resorts that are not considered sister resorts, with the exception of DVC members (with certain restrictions).

Welcome newbie!:flower3:

You don't know it yet, but you have hit a very hot topic with your question. What you are planning on doing is called pool hopping, and is very much frowned upon. If you are staying at an All-Star resort, you CAN use the other All-Star resorts pools. But you cannot go to, say the Poly, and use their pool. Big no-no. At popular pools they will check for resort ID to ensure that only that resorts guests are using the pool.

Hopefully as you are new, people will not jump all over you for your innocent question, but be prepared!:scared:

OK, so let's help her out and change the question:

Which of the All Stars has the best pool? Or the best pool area? Or the best pool bar? Or snacks?

Is there any difference in the 3 All Star pool areas at all?

Or.... how about some alternate plans? Go to Disney Downtown and shop and eat. Or go to the Boardwalk. Neither will require a park ticket.

I think all the pools at as are basically similar. The one at Asmo just seemed more crowded to me though.:goodvibes
