I just used starwood points to upgrade to a "Deluxe Room" at the Dolphin. Before this upgrade my reservation stated that I had a limited view room. My reservation now states that I have a "Resort View With Balcony" and "View of the Resort Area and Crescent Lake." I've never been to the Dolphin before, so I have no idea what this means. Does this mean I will be able to see the Epcot fireworks from my balcony?

I was upgraded to a resort view and it was a great view of MGM's Tower of tower and also overlooked both pools. It was amazing and the balcony made it all that much more enjoyable! :)

Thanks for the info. I'd be thrilled with a view of either MGM or Epcot. Does "Resort View" mean I'll definately have a view of one of the parks?

I got upgraded at check-in, not before, but i can't imagine they would put it on your confirmation and not give it to you. that's just asking for trouble!

The MGM view was great and the fact that your overlooking the pool as well was lovely. The walk wasn't too bad, but we were not right by the elevator - we didn't care though!
