Resort "upgrade" offer

How much construction is still going on at the Poly? If there is any - that would be a no go for me. Plus I love stormalong bay so I would stay put. Especially if you can get some dedicated pool time before your drive home.
Poly DVC tower construction is absolutely a non-issue, it's shunted off to the side of the resort and the only actual impact to guests at this time is the walkway between Poly and GF is currently closed, but there is still quick and easy boat and monorail transportation between the two. Resort view does run you the risk of ending up in one of the adjacent longhouses, but there are resort view rooms on the other side far away from it. Unless you are looking right at it you wouldn't know it was happening, as an actual guest there.

(Apologies for sounding like a broken record but I feel like I've seen this post at least twice a day on these boards ever since the first shovel went in. If you've not stayed at the Poly it's hard to get a sense for the layout and why this construction is a non-issue to 95% of guests.)

I was recently there and they were painting the sides of the existing house roof and had areas around the quiet pool blocked off as they were digging up the concrete. Not to mention those damn little golf carts everywhere. These areas were no where near the new construction, but I saw enough boom trucks around. All around the lobby building

That work started not too long ago, to match the color scheme at the tower. I wouldn't expect it to last very long tbh, they were moving pretty fast on it the last time I saw an update.

If you aren't considering Poly because of transportation issues, don't forget that Epcot is only a monorail ride away when you walk from the Poly to TTC.

$61 is a not an amount that would make a difference to me so I would ask myself if I wanted to be at BC or Poly and go from there. Convenience wise it doesn’t seem like much difference so I’d consider the room and resort amenities in making the decision.
I agree. I always think about my trip before I plan my resort room. If you plan to spend more time in Epcot, and have plans on the Boardwalk, I would stay put. BC is a lovely resort. If you are planning more time in the MK or want to resort hop on the monorail line, move.

I realize WDW is spinning this as an upgrade. However, all resorts offered are deluxe and all rooms are resort view rooms, which you already have. Wouldn't you just be paying more to move where they need you to move for the same room? I would stay at the BC.
I think an upgrade is only an upgrade if the change is beneficial to you. If it is not, and only benefits the resort, I woudl not make any changes.

I can't answer from personal experience, but I noticed there is a new TP blogpost that says that customer satisfaction at the Poly is down this year.

EDIT: I thought the GF was down also, but on rereading the article, I noticed it wasn't, although Villas at GF were.
