Resort TV Cartoon Loop

We were just at POP and WL for Halloween and we were not able to access what use to be I believe channel 96 or something that played the cartoon rerun loop. Does anyone know if they did away with this??? My kids use to love watching it. POP's remote does not allow you to enter channels, so I can understand maybe why it didn't work there. But WL does and it still wouldn't work, we tried ALL of the channels in the 90's. Has anyone been able to access this recently at any of the resorts??

Someone once posted that channel 96 is not offered at all of the WDW Resorts.

We couldn't find it at Pop and POR. My kids love that channel. I wish it could be available at all resorts.

Does anyone know if ASMu has channel 96?

We were able to watch it at AKL in late October. However, we had to type in the "96" -- if you scrolled through using the up or down button on the remote it would skip past it.

I did try to enter 96 (rather than scrolling through the remote with the arrow buttons) but it still didn't work at Pop and POR. It's strange that some resorts have this channel while others don't.

It works at the Poly! Don't even have to type it in, it's pre-programmed.

I was thinking, OK...maybe it's only allowed at the Deluxe resorts, but at the WL even when I typed in 96(because you can't get to it by pushing channel up), it still didn't work. We'll be at the Poly in Dec. so hopefully it will still be working there.

This is an integral part of our trips, and I know it's worked everywhere I've been with DH, AS Music and Movies, OKW, and WL. I guess we'll find out at the Poly this time.

As a sidenote, DH gets so mad when the loop restarts and he starts seeing the same cartoons. He just doesn't get the fact that we are not there to watch TV.

I was at POP last month and none of those channels seemed to be working...

We did a split stay in August. We did not have the channel at Pop Century but we did have it at the Yacht Club. My kids love it too. We had it at the Grand Floridian in the past.

It worked at the Contemporary in April, but not at the WL in Oct. Sounds like Contemporary, Poly, and GF have it still.

Very surprised WL didn't, but not surprised that it didn't work at POP.

My DD9 loves these. She actually got a DVD set for Xmas last year. You can get them at any of the big name bookstores or at Amazon.com. They make great christmas gifts, are reasonably priced and have about 20 cartoons to a set including DD's favorite LLLLAAAAAAMMMMMBBBBERT

Does anyone know if the TV lineup includes Nickelodeon? I can't remember from last year's trip but I shamelessly like to watch Nick at Nite...

That's what I was afraid of. Then again, if I remember right, I don't have any trouble falling asleep (from exhaustion) while at Disney!

I know Amazon has them. Britt has WALT DISNEY TREASURE DISNEY RARITIES CELEBRATED SHORTS 1920'S - 1960'S

It comes in a nice tin box...its 3 or 4 cd's (not sure) It has all the classics from the 96 channel including her fav...Lambert the Sheepish Lion.

Its a nice collection

We got them last november at All Star Movies. My DD4 loved them. I bought the Cartoon Classics dvds and the Best Pals series too, alot of those are on there.
