We are currently undecided as to where to stay and was wonering if anyone can tell us how much better the transportation is from some of the various resorts we are considering to the various parks and downtown Disney. We are considering either the Wilderness Lodge, the FT W Cabins or the Contemporary.

Can you really walk to the MK from the CR?

Thanks!

I'll take the easy question first. YES you can walk from the CR to MK.

As for transportation to the other parks - FW and WL share busses. Other than MK, you can catch a bus to just about anywhere else on property. For MK, you can take a boat or the busto the TTC and take the monorail to MK.

The CR has busses to AK, MGM, DTD, and water parks, Depending on the time of day, it usually shares the busses with GF (I think). To jet to Epcot, you need to take the resort monrail to theTTC and then take the Epcot monorail to Epcot.

I have stayed at WL & CR. They both have wonderful transportation! But I would say I liked WL's better. I much prefered a direct bus to Epcot instead of 2 monorail trains. Switching was a pain in the, ***! :teeth:

As for FW, I haven't stayed there. But I do know that you'll most likely have to take the internal bus to either the main bus stop or boat dock. Lots of people rent golf carts to avoid this. I think they run approx $35-40 per day.

Oh, and WL only shares buses with FW some of the time. They also share with GF. Every deluxe resort shares a bus with at least 1 other resort. The exception is AKL, they have their own.
