My son is a big fan of mini golf. I am not sure how much else at WDW he will actually enjoy. I know the mini golf places are open in the evening, but I did not notice resort busses going there on my last trip. Do the busses go to the mini gokf courses, and how late do those busses run?

Thanks

Resort busses do not go to the mini golf courses. Your best course of transportation depends on what course you are going to and where you are leaving from. If you are going from a Park your best bet would be to take the bus to Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin area where you pretty much just have to cross the street. (For Fantasia Gardens) - I think Winter Summerland is by Typhoon Lagoon...

If you are going from your resort you are best off figuring out where the best place to switch busses is. Ex. Port Orleans would be Downtown Disney and the Monorail Resorts would be Magic Kingdom.

I hope I helped some! :thumbsup2 The mini golf is great fun - we usually do Fantasia gardens!

ETA: I think you can take the same bus for Typhoon Lagoon to Winter Summerland... you'd have to check with someone else... not sure on that.. :confused3

Okay - I'm not gonna edit again, but on second thought... Winter Summerland is probably by Blizzard Beach (seems to make more sense)... :rotfl2:

Sorry - we never go to the water parks, so I get them confused!

My in-laws took the resort bus to Blizzard Beach for the Winterland Mini Golf last trip. I'm not sure how long busses run there...probably it depends on how late the waterpark is open. They had a great time, my DN5 LOVED it!! :sunny:

We have gone to both. If you go to Winterland/summerland it is by Blizzard Beach and I would assume there is no transportation from there after the water park closes.

We prefer Fantasia, which is directly across the street from the Swan/Dolphin.

We usually are at Epcot and take the boat over to swan/dolphin. After you go up the ramp from the boat, go left. At the end of this small walkway (do not go into the hotel), take a right and head over towards the pool.

After passing the pool, you should see another walkway (to the left) this will take you to the street where you can cross over to Fantasia.

This is the most direct route I have found, without having a car. The busses will not stop there.

Good luck - oh and you can take the boat from MGM to Swan/Dolphin too.

Thanks for the tip too.
I got 3 passes to use thrown in with my basic package for now. I had no idea where they were.

What time of day is the best to play?

So, if we were going to Fantasia after dinner at DownTown Disney, we could take the Swan/Dolphin bus and then walk from there?

Yep to go to Fantasia Gardens, take any Disney transportation to Swan/Dolphin, then walk to Fantasia Gardens.

If Blizzard Beach is open, then take Blizzard Beach transportation to go to Winter/Summerland.

If Blizzard Beach is not open, take any Disney transportation to Coronado Springs, and there is a crosswalk and sidewalk at the entrance to Coronado Springs, then the sidewalk leads to Blizzard Beach. (It also leads all the way to McDonalds and the All-Star Resorts).

Just wanted to clarify something. After dinner on the boardwalk, I can take a bus to blizzard beach to get to winter golf and then when I leave I can walk back "home" to Coronado Springs? TIA

Ohmari:
The best time to play is in the cool ,cool, cool of the evening (or morning). Unfortunately, that's when everyone wants to play.
So "crowd wise" the best time is in the searing heat of mid-late afternoon.

Yes, and as for the walk, just walk back down the driveway (on the sidewalk) that the bus just came in on, and cross the street, about a quarter/half block walk. As you pull into the Swan driveway you can't miss Fantasia Gardens

It depends when dinner is over. If Blizzard Beach is still open, then yes. Check with any bus driver to find out how late they are providing transportation to Blizzard Beach.

If Blizzard Beach is not still open, then walking/boating to the Studios, then bus to Coronado, walk, then walk back "home".
