Which resorts have easy access to the monorail?
The monorail runs to MK and Epcot, is that on one line, or are there two different loops?

As I walk fairly slowly, I am looking for approx. distances, for the walk from BWV to Epcot and BWV to MGM. Thanks

You'll get lots of help on the transportation board but I'll try to help a little. The monorail resorts are directly on the MK monorail circuit. These are the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary. The Epcot monorail is a seperate line that runs from the TTC (which is by the MK parking lot) to Epcot and back. No hotels are on that line.

We prefer having a car and use it to get to AK. There is a bus from BWV to AK.

To get to B&C you walk ariund the lake. Can't help with walking times but I think Caskbill has posted some great info on mileage from various spots.

The Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and the Contemporary are the closest resorts to the monorail. In fact the monorail stops right at the hotel.

There are different lines.... one goes around to the 3 resorts, MK, and the TTC. Another one goes directly from the TTC to MK and back. Then another goes from the TTC to Epcot and back.

The TTC (ticket and transportation center) is where people park their cars to go to MK, where you can get on the monorail, or get on the ferry boat, buy tickets, or take buses to the other theme parks.

You take a bus from BWV's to AK. It runs every 15-20 minutes.

To get to WL from BWV's you could either take the bus to MK and then the boat to WL. Or you could take the boat to MGM and then the bus to WL. Or you could take the bus to DTD and then the bus to WL.

To get to Beaches n Creme you could walk or take the boat over to YC/BC.

You can also take a boat from BW to Epcot and BW to MGM.

There are two separte loops. There is a line taht goes from Epcot to the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Centre). From the the TTC there is an express and resort monorail line that goes to MK. The resort line stops at all of the resorts on the line.

The Transportation Centre (TTC) is the transportion hub at the MK parking lot. From the TTC you can take the ferry or monorail to MK. Also from the TTC you could take the monorail over to Epcot

the polyn, grand flor, and the contemp are all on the monorail circle, the monorail stops at each resort and this monorail is only for guest that are staying at those resorts only, thats the great part because they are less crowded then the one the runs from the magic kingdom to the parking lot which everyone takes this monorail or the boat.

this is how the monirail runs-

stops on the second floor main building of the polyn,
stops on the second floor main building of the grand flor,
stops at the magic kingdom
stops at the contemp main building
stops at the ticket transportaion( you can get off there to get on the next monorail to go to epcot or the parking lot) or stay on and it starts all over again with the next stop polyn.

so which resort to stay at on the monorail, any of the three resorts mentioned, it just depends on which atmosphere you prefer and how much $$$ you want to spend, i also go by the restrautants, because we eat dinner at the resorts. i hope that helped you!
