how do they monitor who's staying on property for use of WDW transportation? :moped:

They don't really. Yes, all the literature says you have to have ID to use the transportation but....those with park passes for multi days are entitled to use it so that makes just about everyone in WDW able to access the transp. system. I have never been asked for ID.

About the only times you may be asked for resort ID:

1. Early in the morning going to the park with early Extra Magic Hour,

2. Using the resort monorail at Magic Kingdom's opening and closing times,

3. Late in the evening, when security is a concern.

used disney transport at all of those times and have never been asked for id.

Individuals often manage to bypass the security, yes, but off-site guests should be prepared to be stopped and turned away (and shouldn't complain about if it happens to them :rotfl2: ) at any time, especially the times seashoreCM mentioned.
