Resort Toiletries

How are the soaps shampoos etc, at the Resorts? Should we use what they have, buy some once we get there, or bring our own?

Specifically, we are planning a trip and plan to stay at the CS.

Disney recently changed the resort toiletries to the H2O brand and they are not bad. At least much better than the old ones. We've found shampoo, conditioner, lotion and shower gel in our resort.

We usually take our own. We travel quite a bit so it's already put together so it's no real big deal for us. We have used what they provide and it is fine.

We never use them, not that there's anything wrong with them, we just prefer our usual brands. I take them home for keepsakes as both of our bathrooms are Disney themed.

We use them I do pack my own conditioner, the values have a shampoo conditioner combo & I need a little more conditioner. I have to agree about the new products they are nice.

Can we get extras from the front desk. I hate to bother housekeeping. I sure would like the wrappers for my scrapbooks.

We only received the shampoo/conditioner combo and bar soap at POR last month. I, too, need extra conditioner so I used my own. I was kind of shocked that they didn't leave any lotion though. On our previous trips to POR we received shampoo and lotion, but at POP, in the past, we only received shampoo. I don't know if this last trip the lotion was simply forgotten or whether they no longer give it out in the moderates?

We received shampoo, conditioner, lotion, facial soap and bath soap. I use my own products so I brought home what was left in our room for stocking stuffers for Christmas.

We always bring our own- my hubby has sensitive and has to use his own bath soap, but we take them home as souvies for our bathroom as well!1

OMG! I don't know why I just found it so funny that values use a combo, and I am assuming deluxes don't!! I guess I have to bring mine to POP Saturday!

Do they still have shower caps?

Of all the resorts I've stayed at, only Grand Floridian provided shower caps. I have stayed at All-star resorts, Saratoga Springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Old Key West. So, I presume only Deluxe resorts provide shower caps, and only certain ones. (I have forgotten to pack one, and had to do without for at least one vacation, so, I know that AKL doesn't have them). I am sure to pack at least two for my trips, in case one gets lost or thrown away.

i kind of miss the ones that had mickey.....new ones are ok, just dont have that red,black mickey color theme that we were used to seeing. not sure why they changed......maybe newer ones are more eco friendly

The newer ones are actually the products they represent, not cheap dish detergent like the old shampoo. That stuff was horrid. I found the new products to be a little more fragrant than I like, but nice nonetheless.
