Does the cruise have transfers from Disney world resorts to the port? There will be four of us. Is this the best way to get to the port versus Uber or private transfer? What time do the buses leave the resort?

Yu can take a bus to the cruise From any resort. Our travel agent always signs us up. It’s 35 a person and pick up is anywhere from 11 to 12. You leave your bags outside your door by 8 or 830 and they appear in your cabin between 4 and 6. We have also rented a van from the airport one way. It’s probably cheaper depending on how many people. You drop off bags and everyone else at port. Drop off car. It’s much easier to find one spot on a shuttle van with no bags than a whole family. The line for shuttle can Be long. Some people love a car service. We have not done that.

For the 2 of us, Disney Transportation to Port has been more expensive than a one way car rental, but when we used Disney Transportation in August, my DH, told me how much he enjoyed not having to “worry” about getting to the car rental place and then having the car rental shuttle getting us to the port. He is ready to hand over that responsibility. Plus, at the terminal you go into a much shorter line for security.

Personally, I loved taking DCL transportation from the resort. My luggage is picked up from my resort room the morning of the cruise, we can have a leisurely breakfast or swim before the bus picks you up. You find out the night before when you need to be ready. On the bus, they show a video on the way to the port to get you in the mood (as if you weren't excited enough already). Once you arrive, the crowds have thinned out and you can pretty much board right away. If you time it right, your staterooms will be ready, so you can drop off all your carry-ons before getting some lunch or hitting the pools. I find it more relaxing than getting a private car or renting a car and driving yourself.

As others have mentioned you can take the bus from Disney resort to the port for a fee of course. I've done a few times and it was very convenient. I would suggest you at least compare the prices of other transportation options before you commit.

This is us too. You will get to the port a little later but my wife and I are fine with this. We have been on enough cruises that we don’t feel the need to be first on. Typically once we arrive the wait is either short to none at all. Boarding is immediate. Staterooms are open so we can dump our carryon luggage off and not tote them around.

A little disappointed the last cruise, the driver never turned on the video ☹️ And we arrived ten minutes before the staterooms were ready but went up anyways. Our room was literally directly in front of us with nothing but a rope keeping us from walking in.

Unless something big has changed, you leave your bags in your hotel room. If you’re not there they’ll come in. If you’re there you let them in.

End of the cruise, bags go outside thevstateroom door, but not before the cruise while at your resort.

Unless something big has changed.

OP as a family of 3 we can generally get a rental car for cheaper than the Disney transfer. And then we are in control of when we arrive.
