(I posted earlier on the theme park board, but I had some resort specific questions that I thought should go here)

The magic of the WDW vacation planning DVD! I was recently talking to one of my good friends about our upcoming Dec. trip to WDW and she seemed so interested that I lent her my copy of the latest DVD. It worked like a charm! We had lunch today and all she could talk about was how to plan the trip.:earsboy:

So, we will be two couples, no kids heading down to WDW around the 2nd week of December. We will probably be staying in one of the value or moderate resorts- any tips for arranging connecting rooms?

DH and I have been to both ASMovies and the Coronado Springs resort. Haven't see the new Pop Century resort- would it be worth trying this over the All Stars? Or, if we go moderate, would Port Orleans be better than Coronado (we're all from TX so the Southwest theming wouldn't be anything new for us)?

Or, if we are already planning on 2 moderate rooms, is it worth it to check out a 1-bedroom home away from home?

Thanks for any info you might have!

I think you'll really enjoy this resort. It is small and compact and has just recently been refurbished.

Port Orleans Riverside is a great resort! Only a boat ride to Downtown Disney. When making the reservations I would request the rooms to be near each other. The 1 bedroom villa is nice, but depending on how close the couples are, it may be too close for comfort. A 1 bedroom villa only has 1 bath and one of the couples will have to sleep on a sofa bed in the living room. I would suggest two rooms rather than the one. Beach Club is very nice but it is pricey. My choice would be Riverside~Magnolia Bend.

:wave We've stayed at the ASM and POR several times and
you can't beat POR. It's absolutely the most beautiful grounds.
And a boat ride to PI. The food court is also one of the best,
and the entertainment in the piano lounge is funny. There's
no other way to do DW than couples. It can be very romantic.
We stay at mk on our last night until they kick us out and we
just sit and watch the castle. Just a tradition. Get an AP if
staying more than 6 days, it pays for itself ,and you get better
discounts on the room. Have fun. Oh visit All the resorts you
can to see decorations.
