Hi! I just bought into DVC, and we have scheduled our first trip home for this summer! :yay:  :cloud9:

I wanted to try a couple of different resorts, so I was planning on splitting my stay. Can anyone answer these questions for me:
1. Can I use Magical Express to get from the airport to Saratoga for the first part of my trip, and then from BCV to the airport for the return?
2. How do I get from SSR to BCV in the middle of my trip? Will Disney move my luggage for me? What is the cost?

Anything else I should know? Is a split stay too hard to do? I really want my kids to be able to try out Stormalong Bay, otherwise I wouldn't do the split stay.

Thanks so much for everyone's help....I've been a lurker for a couple years....I know y'all will have all the answers!

1. Yes; just remind DME when you arrive at MCO (in case there may have been a mix-up).
2. You have Bell services take your luggage from your room at SSR and they will transport it to BCV; no cost to you (except tips, of course :rolleyes1 ). You can take any Disney transportation over to BCV (the easiest would be to either go to DTD and hop a BCV bus, or take a bus from SSR to MGM and then a boat to BCV). You can check in anytime, although your room might not be ready. When you're in your room, call down to BCV's bell services, and they'll bring your transported luggage to you! :thumbsup2

We split-stay a lot and find it very easy. :goodvibes

If you want to use SAB on the day you check in, remember to bring whatever you'd take to the pool with you, plus probably wear your bathing suits under your clothes.

Have a great, relaxing, fun time!

We split stays all of the time and there is no problem just let bell service know when to pick up the luggage and where it is going and you can leave it in your old room and :wizard: it appears in your new room!! it is easy but I do agree to take what you may need for the next several hours with you the longest we've waited was this past new years day and we didn't get our lugggae until 7 p.m. but that is one of the busiest days!! Also call magical express from your room near the end of your trip just to confirm times and pick up place. Hope this helps!! Have a great first trip home!!

Last year FW bell services moved our entire party of 7 plus luggage from the cabins to BWV in their van and unloaded us once we got there. We were at the pool within the hour!! For our other split stays, bell services handled the bags the way other posters have mentioned with no problems. The only minor problems we have encountered have been with DME (have had similar minor problems with linked reservations at the same resort), where they think we should be leaving sooner that we actually are. We have had to call and correct the dates even though we gave DME the correct dates to begin with. Overall, nothing big just something to be aware of. Have a great split-stay!:)

Can't answer the ME question.
As far as the moving...on the checkout day from the 1st resort just call Bell Services, tell them you need your luggage moved to resort #2. They'll take care of getting it there. Then go off to your park. When you;re ready to go back to the hotel, take whatever transportation to resort #2 and check -in.

Very easy.
