Besides the fact that they're in separate buildings, what are some of the differences between amenities in the 2 types of studios. For example, I heard that coffee makers in the deluxe studios are keurig K-cup, while Resort studios have the 4 cup drip coffee maker. I hope the Resort studios all have microwaves and refrigerators (I really hope there are no more beverage coolers). Are there all refrigerators now?

I watched some YouTube videos last week of the 2 types of rooms. It kills me that I like some parts better at each type. It makes it harder to choose but I guess it also means I can be happy/comfortable with each.

Resort studios had a beverage cooler and the deluxe/DVC building studios have a mini fridge with a freezer. The resort studios had 2 beds vs. a bed and convertible bed. I think I liked the bathroom more in the resort studio, but I'll always have leftover food and there won't be anywhere to put it there.

The resort studios do have a mini fridge, not a beverage cooler. There's just no freezer compartment. They have a microwave as well. No sink in the kitchenette area. As far as coffee maker, the resort studios provide the Cuisinart pod-style coffee maker like you see in many value and moderate resorts on property and in hotels all over. You may be able to call housekeeping and request a Keurig if you would prefer one, however.

The resort studios are also physically larger than the deluxe studios and have a large closet with much more storage than the deluxe studios. You can look at room tours on YouTube to get an idea as to the setup of each.

Overall I think the resort studios are better, but I much prefer the original VGF building than Big Pine Key.

Once and for all - at least at WDW, every DVC room has some sort of refrigerator. None have beverage coolers.

As mentioned above, resort studios have 2 real beds, so it depends on if you are traveling solo or with someone else who won’t be sharing your bed.

On the other hand, the split baths in the deluxe studios allow 2 people to shower separately but at the same time, as one side has the shower/tub and the other has the standing shower.

I prefer the deluxe studios if traveling solo. The room feels bigger/more open. I also like have a sink in the kitchenette.
