Resort stay, FP+, MDE, AP - Oh my!

I'm staying on-site at DW in a coupla months. My family lives in florida and I'm travelling with them so they're getting florida discount tickets. With me being the "black sheep" of the family I live out of state and have to purchase the usual tickets. We're planning on hitting a few parks a day plus the water parks. I'm also planning on going back around Christmas and thinking an Annual Pass may be the most economical way to go for this year.

1> Do the APs tie into the magic bands at all on MDE? I recall there being some issues with that before. (Or do I have to carry both the band and the AP card?)

2> If I preorder the AP does that allow me to select FP+ for the trip? Or is it better for me to buy a 4 day ticket and do the FP+ that way and then bridge to the AP once I'm there? If I bridge does that reset my FP+ choices?

I just wanna have fuunnn... this is too much wooorrrkkk!!!!
