Resort sold out in sept

I called Central reservations and tried to use the 40% code for a room from Sept 25th thru the 28th (fri - Sat). Whe woman told me they were all booked except a 300 room at the Amilal kingdom club level and a 255 room at the BWI .....No Value ...Mods ..even the ft wilderness cabins,

I was shocked i called last week and got rates at poly, cbr and fq all were available...I asked for rack rate and none as well

I was a bit upset as i already booked my flight and was gonna have to stay off site........They I tried the Dolphin on a whim , always looked nice but was too pricy....got a rate of 107 per night( pluse 10 resort fee).....was shocked it was so low and jumped on it...

I checked online for rack rate and with a friday check in, there was not availiblity except at a couple deluxes. There was some moderate avail for saturday check in. I am glad you got a great rate over at the swan and dolphin.

No, WDW isn't really sold out in September. However, every promotion has a limited number of rooms available. It is quite possible the rooms that are available for the 40% code you were trying to use are sold out.

I'm sure there is availability, just not during your dates (or every night of your dates) with the code. It might be one night that is your hang up, or the code in general. I've been playing with switching resorts during our September trip, and there is plenty of availability. I've even considered changing dates because DH might have a work thing interfere.

A lot of people are reporting Sept 25 and/or Sept 26 being sold out at resorts when they are having trouble booking a room.

We had ressies at POR from Sept 19-25, but had to change to November. CM told me when I called that the resort was completely booked from Sept 21-30.

I just checked on your dates and there was availability during your entire stay for Contemporary Resort, Saratoga Springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge (savannah view, not club level), Poly, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge (not club level), Coronado Springs, Bay Lake Towers, Yacht Club, Beach Club. I didn't check values. So, some resorts (mostly moderate) were sold out, but hardly all.

We're going 9/25 (on site starting 9/26) to 10/4, so I don't like any resorts being sold out, but it isn't as bad as it sounds.

We picked this time of year for our Honeymoon because it wasn't supposed to be busy. So much for that.

What check-out date did you use? I just checked again and still came up with all the same resorts under rack rate; the OP did mention no rooms were available for rack rate either. Discounted resorts had fewer options, but still some.

BC all rooms avail.
WL Courtyard & Higher
FW Cabin
BW all rooms avail
GF all rooms avail
YC-water view & higher
Poly GV only
AKV Kidani all rooms avail
VWL 1 BR

So no values and no mods except cabins. I'm starting to think it might be crowded. Oh well. It is what it is.

Historically September and October have been pleasant, quiet, adult oriented months at Disney.

Not really surprised, just bummed. We booked in January, before all the hizzy about free dining was announced...it's ok, we'll still have a good time, it just means we can't take a good time for granted.

For next week 9/9-14 the following is available:

And ALL Deluxes!

For the week after 9/16-21
POFQ
POR
CSR
CBR
FWCabins
and all Deluxes

That's a VAST difference from the lack of availability on 9/23-28!

So, the fact that the dates are so close is not really relevant.
