We will be at Disney in August. Haven't been since 2001!!
My DD collects snowglobes and I was wondering if we will be able to get
one of the Wilderness Lodge since that is where we are staying.

Also, if you can are there different options/sizes available? I am hoping I
don't have to go broke to buy one if the exist.

Thanks!

I saw WL snowglobes there in february. I only noticed one size though - I think it was about a 5" diameter globe

We bought one in May. There were 2 different snowglobes to choose from and we had a very hard time of which one we wanted!!! We bought the smaller one and it was $25.00. Inside the globe part is the Humphrey totem pole. On the outside, there is a fuzzy bear and a fuzzy sqirrell with a log in the front that says Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The other snowglobe is bigger and it lights up. I think the cost was $40.00. It has a replica of the lodge (that is what lights up) inside the globe, but I can't really remember what was on the outside part. I know that someone posted a picture of it over on the Wilderness Lodge thread.
Like I said, it was really hard to choose which one we want!! I guess we will just have to buy the other one when we go back in September!!!:goodvibes

Yep, they are right. We just bought the large globe on Tuesday and it was $40. I love it.

That's a pretty cool collectible to have. Does anyone know if they make them for resorts other than WL? I guess it'd be a little weird to have a CSR snowglobe, but it'd still be cool.

Are there snowglobes for all the other resorts? and do you have to ship them (when we were there in January the signs said you can't take them on as carry-on, is that right?)

Too cool! I haven't seen them before, but will look out for them next time we go.

We went to Universal in April and my DD had a small Florida snowglobe in her carry on and it was taken (well they gave us the option of checking the bag).
It is allowed in checked baggage but not carry on.

She is going to be so excited that she can get a WL one!

This is a photo of the larger Snowglobes that they sell at the Mercantile cost $40.00

I am not sure if the rules have changed but if your flying down I don't think you can pack the snowglobes in your carryon bags when flying back. In August 2006 after they had that thing in London when the TSA banned all liquid items from going threw security, that included snowglobes. There were signs posted in the snowglobe section at the World of Disney which warned about this if you purchased any and were flying back home. So if you purchased any they would need to go in your checked bags.

Excellent point :thumbsup2

The gift shops will ship - I think they'll even include items you've bought from all over the parks. If you do this, just try & go at a quiet time to get the full attention of a CM who's done it before.

You can not pack them on your carry on TSA will make you toss them. So either check it (bad idea) or have them ship it for you. If broken Disney will send a new one as long as they pack it :goodvibes

Thanks, everyone, for letting me know! Will definitely make sure I have Disney ship mine.

The Wilderness Lodge globe for $40 is beautiful!!

My daughter collects them too....aren't they AWESOME. She is so proud of her Disney Collection....

I bought one when I was there in May and I had it shipped home and received it about a week after I got home. I was also wondering if any of the other resorts had them. I didn't see any at the Yacht or Beach Club.
