Hello all. My first post. I tried searching but only found a few posts.

I am looking for resorts/room combos with views of the fireworks shows. However I want to keep costs down. So I am looking for rooms with views from the value, moderate, and low end deluxe resorts (Animal Kingdom or Wilderness type resorts).

So whatever personal experience you have had watching the fireworks from your room. (Picture, building name, floor, etc)

:welcome: First of all, welcome to the dis!

If you're looking for rooms with direct views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, there are only three: Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian. These are all deluxe resorts and the rooms that overlook the Magic Kingdom are the most expensive at these resorts. There are some rooms at the Wilderness Lodge that have a partial view of the MK fireworks.

If you're referring to Illuminations at Epcot, some rooms at the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk have partial views of the fireworks. Of course, these are also deluxe resorts. You're not going to find a moderate or value resort with fireworks views.

You may want to research WL a little bit more. Some of their woods view rooms do have a view of the castle and night time fireworks. Aside from the AKL, it's also the only other resort that has private balconies. I'm pretty sure that some of the mods and values have places on the property that you can see some of the higher fireworks, but it wouldn't necessarily be from the window of your room.

Unfortunately though, unless you have an MK view booked at either the GF, Poly or CR, then there's no guarantee you'll see the fireworks. You can make the request if you decide to book a woods view room at the WL, specifically you'd want a room in the North side. This is the WL FAQ thread and it has some great information. You can also look here for other specific resort threads.

We had a standard room at the Wilderness Lodge and were lucky enough to have a view of Wishes from our room. :goodvibes

I'm going to have to disagree with you here - we just got back from CBR yesterday and stayed in Martinique - bldg 26 - each night at 9pm we walked outside of our room and watched Illuminations over the lake - it was beautiful!

I second that. You can see the high fireworks from Illuminations at CBR from many rooms and on the beaches.

Well, the only way to be sure you'll see fireworks from your room is to book an MK-view room at a monorail resort, which will cost $300+ a night. Depending on the time of year, it could cost much more than that.

You won't see any at AKL, too far from the parks that have fireworks.

A few rooms at WL have a view of Wishes, but they're request-only. No guarantee that you'll get one.

I've heard that you can see some fireworks from the grounds of Pop and some of the moderates, but it's going to be tough to see anything from inside your room. First, the fireworks are going to be fairly far off in the distance, and all of the mods and values have the concrete walkway outside the rooms, which adds more distance. Also, there are a fairly small number of rooms situated so that you can see fireworks, and again, there's no guarantee that you'll get one.

If your heart is set on seeing fireworks from your own room or balcony, why not book one night in a CR tower room? It won't be cheap, but the view will be fantastic.

I will 3rd the CBR. We were at Jamaica and had a great view from the Jamaica pool and the Beach.

Our room at WL #4004 had a view of Wishes, you could see the real high ones. It was pretty cool to lay in bed & watch, since or DS (3yr old) does not like the noise that goes along with them.

If you qualify for Shades of Green you can see the MK fireworks from some of the rooms. We had rooms 303 and 302 and saw them every night from our balcony.

You can see some of the higher fireworks from IllumiNations at POP. We stayed in the 50's section (bldg 2), way on the backside, third floor. We were at the end of the bldg, right next to the bowling pin rear stairway, leading to the parking lot. If you went out and turned the corner, you could watch the fireworks. I'm sure you could do that also from some rooms in bldg 3 in 50's..you just have to have the lake on the left side of you.
You can catch some fireworks from CBR.
The best resorts for fireworks views are the deluxes...CR, Polynesian, GF, and the Epcot deluxes. But, in most cases, I never suggest booking a resort in order to see the fireworks. Sure, if you book a room at the Polynesian that has a MK view, you'll be able to see fireworks, but that isn't going to come without a sizable price tag!!!

we were in a concierge room on the 7th floor with bunk beds. We had woods view and could see the castle for our room and watch wishes. It was lovely.

Wow thank you for all of the responses! I will continue to research. CBR for sure is more up my financial alley.
