I'm in desperate need of advice.

We're getting married at WP, and staying at POLY. We want to sleep in separate rooms the night before the wedding. Also, we have about 7 people who need to get hair/makeup done the day of the wedding (ceremony at 5pm).

Does anyone suggest putting 7 people in a garden view room at POLY plus hairdresser to get ready? What other options could we do to get a room big enough for this kind of thing? The suites are quite expensive, and I don't believe they are even available.

Help!!!

You know, the standard rooms at the Poly are so big, I think you just might be able to do it! :thumbsup2 There was a discussion about room size here a few weeks ago, and I think the Poly may be second only to the Contemporary for room size at a Deluxe hotel.

Alternatively, you could talk to your coordinator about getting a room at the GF convention center to get ready in. They can only be booked a month in advance and have a $500 food and beverage minimum, but I have heard of brides getting them for free if they can wait til the last minute to book them.

Also, I dunno if you were asking about this too, but my DH and I spent the nights leading up to the wedding apart, and what we did was have him bunk with various family members for free. :thumbsup2

We were at the Grand Floridian. We booked two rooms next to each other that had a connecting door, and the bridal party, etc. used both rooms to get their hair done and get ready.

Yes, the rooms at POLY are pretty big, but 7 ladies plus video/photo and make-up lady is a lot. Thanks for the info about GF, we had heard about that from our planner. It is one of the solutions we are considering.

We are thinking of staying at BLT instead of POLY and getting a 1BR there. Might be the best bet. Thanks for your help!
