Resort room type changes email

So I just got this email from Disney Destinations. I checked my reservations and there were no changes to my 2 bed lock-off standard view at BVW, 1 bed standard view at BLT, or 2 bed at HHI. Anyone else get this email and did your room type change?

At many of the resorts in the 2026 point charts the “Standard” view rooms were renamed “Resort” view. I’m guessing this might be what this email is referring to.

So it was just a name change.

This is also coming up on the Polynesian Tower sub. Looks like they are going back to the "standard view" naming convention from the "resort view" name. Wonder if "resort view" will go back to garden view or if this is just for DVC villas.

I got the email too. I checked my upcoming reservations, and didn't notice any difference yet. I thought it was a little strange.

This matches the room category changes made to deluxe resorts over the last 18 months. Standard & garden view rooms were combined into 1 category called Resort View. Makes it hard to know if you’ll get view of a parking lot or a pretty garden.

Mine did not change view names for HHI, RIV, AKL, SSR, or BWV for 2024 and 2025 based on what I can see.

Yeah, that email would have made a lot more sense a year ago.

All the deluxe hotels were announced last year & changed this year. I don’t know about DVC resorts.

I doubt OKW will change, we never had "view" categories, only a location category "Near Hospitality House" and that still seems to be in place. And there are no point differences between Near Hospitality and the rest of the resort.

And after commenting, I received the same email! Not really sure what reservation it applies to, I have 3 upcoming. One at Poly (standard studio), CCV, and POFQ. Can’t tell by looking at my reservations!

Got the same email too. So, if I'm understanding correctly, it's the renaming of room view categories on the hotel room side of things, not the changing of DVC Villa room/view names, is this right? It doesn't look like anything changed at any resort on the DVC booking tool...

It's hard to tell. A lot of people receiving it are only booked in a DVC villa. I have 3 reservations, 2 are DVC and one is not. Not sure what reservation(s) it applies to, the email doesn't say. I tend to think it's for DVC rooms, not hotel, but I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time!), could be both and reverting back to standard/garden categories instead of the combined current resort view category.

If it is the same email that we received and is above it states "Members and Guests" so that would rule out POFQ. CCV doesn't have views to select only distinction being tub shower combo or just shower. So I'm thinking this is for Poly.
