Hi all,

My husband and I will be at BCV this weekend, and he wants to watch the MSU vs Iowa game. Even though it is a BIG game for us and our conference it has been scheduled for ESPN 2. Will we have that station in our room?

I have no interest in watching the game at ESPN Zone. We will be in Downtown Disney in the morning, for Festival of the Masters. Is there anyplace with TV's in Downtown Disney? otherwise we can head off site.

GO GREEN!!!

I think Disney has something like five ESPN channels and the Deuce is one of them for sure.

Remember, Disney owns ESPN now.

ESPN is channel 10. I think ESPN classic is 11 and ESPN2 is 12. Something like that :goodvibes

Yeah, Disney Channel, ABC, ESPN and local channels. That's about it.

I think we must have watched 4 hours a day of Phineas and Ferb on our last trip. We ended up watching the Good Life network. Donna Reed show, Father's Knows Best, My Three Sons. Felt like old UHF when we were little :rotfl:

No HBO at any of the Disney Hotels (I am not sure but you might get HBO at the Swan or Dolphin). Being a family oriented resort there are some HBO shows that have an "R" rating with nudity, which is strictly taboo at WDW.

Sadly, the Disney Resorts aren't the place you want to stay if you want good TV, and I think that's done on purpose. Disney doesn't want you in your room. Stay at Universal and you get HBO and the like. Plus you get Pay-Per-View which has an Adults Only channel. I know Universal is more liberal than Disney, but even I think that's a bit surprising.

A good idea would be to bring your own portable DVD player with some movies. We do that for the kids to watch shows at night before going to bed. Just make sure you bring a few different wires as I'm not 100% certain which ones are required to hook up to the TV.

The bar at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD plays lots of college football games, especially on the weekends.

Just because it is scheduled for ESPN 2 doesn't mean it will be on in Orlando. Those games are shown regionally and it may not reach down in the southeast. Better do more checking at the ESPN coverage maps to see what games are being shown where.

Just looked at the schedule and you should be good! Have a great trip!

Um, no. There's no HBO, Showtime, AMC, TBS, TNT, USA, Speed, or Versus. Disney has all the ESPN stuff, I think Lifetime times three, BET, CNN, the Weather Channel, all four networks. And then they have everything closed captioned and then they have foreign networks like BBC, something from Germany, Japan, Spain, whatever.

Disney has lots of channels but they just are not all what Americans are used to. I know when my husband traveled on business, he was so grateful to have one American channel on a foreign TV and I'm sure the foreign guests will agree in reverse.
