Taking my Mom along this time to WDW. Is there any resorts where the rooms can hold 5 people? In the past we had 2 rooms at a value resort? Is this the cheapest way for 5??

TIA

Melinda

that or 2 values---we found POR much cheaper, esp. during peak season--but room would be a bit cramped.

Two values for sure. Lots of room, four beds, two bathrooms, two TV's. If you do a family suite at ASMu, you also get a fridge and microwave.

I was just thinking that 2 bathrooms would be nice!!! Would we be able to get connecting????

We always have in the past. You must put it on your ressie and it wouldn't hurt to call the resort a day or two ahead. Just explain you have kids and it shouldn't be a problem.

I have read here that it is a request only, and the only way to guarentee it is if the children outnumber the adults. Since you have 3 adults, it isn't a priority. May or may not happen.

POR does have rooms that will sleep five--two beds and a trundle bed for kids under age 9. (I think that it's the Alligator Bayou buildings.) These, like the family suites at ASMu are limited. If you still feel like you'd be too cramped with just one room, definitely get two values. But be sure and ask for conjoining rooms, as opposed to adjoining. We went in November of 2003 and wanted connecting rooms, and while the doors were right next to each other, they didn't connect on the inside. A cast member pointed this out and suggested that next time, to request conjoining rooms.

If you have three adults in one room, you will be required to pay the extra adult charge for the room.

Just an FYI
there is no extra adult fee at the Family Suites.
1-6 adults can stay in the Family Suites for the same set price.

For comparison, the price of a Family Suite is $9-11 more then 2 Standard Rooms, or $13-15 less the 2 Preferred Rooms, depending on season.

Also a fridge is included in AS Suite.

Fridges cost $10 a night to rent when staying at a value . Don't forget the Queen size bed,a coffee pot and microwave are also in Family Suites.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.
