Is it possible to dine at resort restaurants (without reservations) if staying off-site? Are all of the resorts gated? We'd like to do some exploration and planning for a future on-site stay.

Thanks!

While it is possible, it is easier to gain entrance to the resorts , which are gated, by having a PS for the meal. With a PS you are listed on the roster at the gate, they will check your name against the roster and let you in very easily with a three hour parking pass for that resort.

All the resorts have security gates at their entrance. ON only a few occasions have i seen them refer to a PS list to check for our name. We always just tell them we are there for lunch or dinner and plan to check out the resort for our next visit. If we were there and not staying at a Disney resort they just gave us parking pass that was good for a few hours.
