Is it possible to get a sit down lunch at any of the resorts without a PS and a long wait? Places I would like to consider are the Kona Cafe or Yacht Club Galley or Garden View Lounge (Afternoon Tea). I am trying to make travel day plans or would I be better off to eat at the food court at POR, head to the parks and make a PS for a nice dinner. My travel date is 3/23, arrival time should be about 1pm.

I don't know if this would always work out so well, but we had a wonderful lunch at Kona Cafe in June without a PS. We were resort hopping and had planned to just grab a quick bite somewhere, but when we asked at Kona they said we could be seated immediately. :Pinkbounc

Afternoon Tea at GF, you most probably will need PS. Kona Cafe you should have no problems without a PS and the food is excellent. Yacht Club Gally, I thought stopped serving lunch, but I could be wrong. If they still serve lunch you will not need a PS here either.
Both of these restaurants will provide a much more tasty lunch then POR food court, IMO.
My choice would be Kona Cafe. I love this restaurant for lunch. Try the terriyaki beef salad- it is excellent.

If you considering the afternoon tea, by all means, make a Priority Seating, as the place is known to book up. Supposedly very popular among the bridal shower set.

Kona and Yacht Club galley should not be too much trouble without a PS except at the MOST busy times, and perhaps not even then. Not a lot of people return the their resorts for a sitdown lunch. (At least, that has been my experience.)

Hope this helps!

We ate at Kona Cafe twice for dinner in October and I had a PS the first night (arrival night) and didn't need it- the place was maybe 1/2 full. We went again our last night (loved it so much! Great food) and again, the place was maybe 1/3-1/2 full. I don't think you would need a PS and this was a BUSY week- it was the week all the press was there for the Mission Space/PhilharMagic/Wishes/Magical Gathering announcements.

The Galley serves Breakfast and Lunch, its Dinner that they still do not serve.

Unless you are going during a holiday. You should not have a problem. We normally go around noon or right when the restaurant opens for lunch. Never had a problem doing this with GF Cafe, GF tea or Konas.
