I have just booked a quick trip to WDW arriving late Saturday 4/6 and returning early Wednesday 4/10. It is just me and DS, age 4 - who has just gone through a rough time with medical tests etc.

I'm trying to decide which resort to stay in. We are DVC members and there is a studio available at OKW for the time we are there. I was thinking of trying something new if it wasn't too expensive. I know its a bad time of year for discounts but I thought I'd ask. We have an AP and DC.

Thank you for any advice.

Hi Jackie,

I hope your son is doing ok (or at least better). Since the trip is for and about him, I would suggest either an All Star (our stay at Sports brought out the kid in me and in 2 teenagers) or the Contemporary (can't beat the monorail access). Even a room in the wings at the Contemporary would be great. If you get the 1st floor, you can feed the ducks from your patio.

My prayers and wishes for your son.

I hope that your son is going to be fine. If I were taking my son I think I would go with either the Sport or the Movies at the AS ressorts. Although he says that you should take him to the Contemporary. When he was little he thought it was the coolest place. They have a great arcade. When he was 4 he still says he loved going there even though he had no idea how to play any of the games.

He would probably really like the AS-Movies...especially the Toy Story Building, if you can get it. I do agree, though that for convenience, the Contemporary can't be beat. The kids love the monorail going through the building, as well as being able to walk to the MK. We call it the "House of Mouse", since most of the theming is geared toward Mickey and it is home of Chef Mickey's. Wherever you stay, I hope you and your little one have a wonderful time and that he is doing better!

Best wishes for your son, I hope things are looking up for him.

I agree, even if budget is no issue, All Star Movies would be a super-fun atmosphere for a 4 year old. Contemporary would be fun, too, and you could do the character breakfast there. Of course, I think many of the resorts offer fun kids' extras, even if the theming might not seem "kid-like". WL, I believe, has some kind of animal presentation in the morning for kids...and they have the flag family thing, if you get lucky enough. Fort Wilderness has the campfire & and movies at night, and a hayride. AKL has storytime in the evenings. I don't know of of any others, but I'm sure there are tons more little extras like this & that some of the true experts here can tell you a lot more about it all.

I hope you have a lot of fun...Happy Disneying!
