We want to come in June with our 4 children and would normally stay at the yacht club, but with the pool refurbishment I'm scared it won't be done by June. We are looking into another hotel with a great pool. We often spend a lot if time swimming. Also having a great snack bar by the pool for burger and fries is a huge plus. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Don't plan on SAB being done early. Disney updated the schedule for maintenance of SAB to be from January 2025 through June 2025. In addition the resort rooms will also be under refurbishment during this period.

Are you looking for 1 room or 2 rooms as that impacts the options for resorts?

If you plan on booking 2 rooms then you might want to consider Wilderness Lodge. It has two great pools and pool service from Geyser Point. You'll be able to get burgers there. The slide at the main pool is small, though.

Boardwalk doesn't have food service, so I wouldn't go there.

We are looking to book 2 rooms.

If you used to being in close proximity to parks, I would probably consider Boardwalk (they do have pool food service, just not burgers - salads, sandwiches mostly), Poly or GF. WL is also lovely, but the pool is quite small with a smaller slide and is more geared toward younger children, but that may work for your family.

I’d recommend Animal Kingdom Lodge- both pools are great, have good food, waterslides and Kidani has a splash area. I prefer the pool at Jambo House because it’s bigger and you can see flamingos from the pool! Kidani is smaller but has the better water slide. You can access both when you stay at either resort building.

If it's within budget, I would book GF. We love the beach pool. Great slide, great food service pool side, not too crowded and there are also pool side cabanas if you wish to rent for the day. For a change of pace, the courtyard pool is also very nice. Not talked about by many....but the pool bathrooms at GF are also very nice.

Other than the pool amenities, GF rooms all have balconies and there is a laundry room in each building. The dining at GF is quite good and sitting on the patio in front of Gaspie's to watch evening fireworks is amazing. Of course, it's on the monorail and has boats and a walking path to MK as well.

Definitely agreeing with the Poly suggestions, the kids splash pad is great and I like that the 2 pools are very close together so you can easily go between them. It's nice because the Lava pool can sometimes be a little "people soup". Great food there too, but Capt. Cook's is also very close by for more options.

Grand Floridian. Our family sounds like yours a bit. Our top two are BC and GF. Two pools at GF great food, good slide, great location. Rooms are nice, restaurants all over the property.

Animal Kingdom is no comparison. Poly is okay but with the new tower I expect it to be overcrowded so I'd avoid that for 2025.
