resort rates for Easter Week? Discounts?

Hi!

I'm sort of new to the universal boards, and there seem to be so many different ways to get discounted rooms at the big 3 resorts. I was wondering if anyone stayed on site this year during Easter Weekend and the week afterwards (our spring break for 2005). Just wondering if discounts exist during this peak time, and if there are discounts, who did you book through and what did you pay.

We booked a standard room @ RPH through hotelkingdom.com (thanks to these boards!) for $169 per night. My original booking was calling the hotel directly and getting a $229 rate (no entertainment rate available until Thurs after Easter and it was $167 for Thurs and went up $10 or $20 for Fri/Sat night). I bugged them twice a week for entertainment and fanclub rates but I don't remember when they finally released them. I'm thinking Dec or Jan but I just don't remember.

I've already booked a room for 3/30-4/3 (Wed-Sun after Easter) and it's $269/night by calling the Universal Orlando #. I bought an annual pass this year so I'm hoping those discounts will be applicable when I'm there. Hotelkingdom is still negotiating with them so I don't know yet what those rates are.
