I am considering the gift deliveries I have seen on wdwflorist.com and giftsofalifetime.com. Has anyone done this and would do it again? I am just weary of it being there when we get there. Does disney put it in your room before you check in or do they hand it to you at the desk? And will it be worth it? Help!

Leaving in 7 days!!

Thinking about doing this myself. I have seen giftsofalifetime.com, but not wdwflorist.com. I tried typing in wdwflorist.com and get a search page. Am I doing something wrong?

hope this helps. Gifts (unless you are staying conceirge) can not be in your room when you get there since your room might not be assigned or ready when you check in. I know that GOAL delivers the day before you arrive so that it is waiting for you at check in. At that point you can either accept it or have it sent to your room to await you.

I read on another thread about Peggy's Sweets and More. She makes candy creations and gift baskets. I have never done it, but I heard really good things about her on this other thread and she has so many things to offer. This is her website. might just want to check it out. I was impressed.

I ordered from Disney Florist for our last trip. (Peggy wasn't doing baskets at the time or I would have ordered from her.) We got the cake made out of Mickey candy bars. We didn't eat much of it on our trip. We had the dining plan and we were full most of the time. The front desk sent some one to our room with the "cake" when it arrived. I loved having it in the room. It was very festive. The kids enjoyed getting it too.

We took the candy bars home with us. It was nice to have them when we got home. It took the edge off the post Disney Blues.

Next year I plan on ordering from Peggy. I will order the Mickey Candy Bars in the basket. They are yummy.

To answer your question, I would go for it. It is nice to have the little surprises on vacation. I think it is the extra things that you remember the most. I'm usually pretty frugal, but I thought it was worth it. :thumbsup2

We are using disney florist. They have premade designs and they do offer for you to customize a basket. We are customizing one and I was really surprised at all the stuff they can put in the basket. I came up with putting in a couple of mickey mouse candy bars, mickey mouse treats, and snacks, a few sodas and a beer for my husband, plus a 50 year celebration mickey plush. It was something like 15 items and i requested it was all put into a disneyworld tote bag. With delivery and all it came up to $56.00. Not bad at all, i expected it to be outragous.

Just returned home and had a very special person send us the mickey cake surprise with a couple of huge balloons. It was supposed to be delivered on check in day...we did change rooms at check in. It showed up the next day with the previous room number written on the card. Needless to say the person sending was wondering why I wasn't thanking him that first day!!

It was a great surprise and ds was over the moon when it showed up!!

just returned and i used disney florist, i had a belle doll (the barbie type) and a gigantic belle mylar balloon sent with a cute welcome back note and it arrived within an hour of us checking in our room. my daughter was thrilled and it only cost me 39 dollars. disney florist will send anything you want as long as it is available at the world. we were very pleased with the festive way it was wrapped also
