Got your attention huh? LOL I KNOW it's a no no! I was just on Pinterest last night and clicked a "awesome secrets to do at Disney" post and that was the NUMBER ONE thing it listed!!! Wow!! I didn't bother to read further! No telling what else in the world they would have suggested! :rotfl:

OK, apparently I'm the only one who found this to be funny. Attempt at humor = epic fail....

Yeah, not sure what you found to be so funny. There is pool hopping allowed in certain circumstances -- DVC members can, for example..

Any thread I have seen that mentions pool hopping just gets shut down. People are super sensative about it.

Well, when I was new to the DIS, I had NO idea it was so sensitive and I asked an innocent question about it. I was completely eviscerated!! I almost quit altoghether! But a few nice folks saw I was new and explained the situation to me.

I just found it strange that someone put it as #1 on "secrets to fun" at Disney.

It is the same person that tells you to park at CR all day and walk over to MK to avoid paying for parking.

Anyone that says freebies at Disney is skating around the rules; it is a no-brainer. Nothing in life is really free and anyone who advertises it is a fraud and anyone who believes it is a fool.

I agree completely!! I think it is so trashy to "steal" something just to save a buck!!!

I think your question was perfectly innocent. Generally people here who are sensative about the pool hopping just come off as greedy to me. Some arejust concerned about the rules and thats cool but you will see a lot of 'I don't want people coming and swimming in my awesome pool when they didn't payfor it' often accompanied by a slightly vieled tone of superiority aimed at people staying in 'lower' class resorts from those in mods or dlx.

The rules are clear , unless a dvc member its not allowed, but these reactions remind me of college roommate I used to live with who if we would chip in for pizza would always jump on it as soon as it arrived and take their correct number of pieces for their 'share', usually the biggest pieces and would proudly tellpeople they were just getting their money worth ... the rest of us would just take a piece or two at a time til we were full. ?... meh, to me its no big deal. Just let people be happy.

This thread is closed, with a reminder that any discussion of pool-hopping is to take place in the Pool Use FAQ thread at the top of this board.
