How does this work again? Do we have to stop at the guard each time or is there a lane to tap our magic band? If so, does it work on check in day even before we receive our resort room number if we did online check in?

There is a lane to tap your magic band. I believe if you check in online before hand you can go through the lane for your band or if you would rather play it safe you can just go to the guard.

Some resorts still give parking passes. Might be worthwhile to stop at the guard shack on the way in to see. We always do.

Tapping your Magic Band at the gate will only work after you've used it to open your room door-so on checking day - you do have to see the guard.
