Resort Parking Question

In my experience, the people here give time limits. The Disney employees do not. (Except maybe when parks and resorts are at capacity.)
Reporting awareness of =/= giving. I have gotten my valet-parked vehicle back with a handwritten arrival time on a paper on the dzshboard.
That is like 200% correct.
Mathematically impossible. Hyperbole does not become thee.

Yes, I have been many many many times to Cali Grill for dinner. I like shopping at the Contemp. too and usually arrive a bit early to look around the shops. I am always staying on property with a MB and dining reservation. When I get to the gate, I tell the guard I am there for a dinner reservation. He/She scans my band or asks for ID, then lets me in. Never have I been told where to park or how long I could park for.

A valet keeping track of when they received your car is not the same as you being given a time limit - they probably just forgot to take it off the dashboard. As to the 200%, for some odd reason I find that less annoying than 110%.

We were just at Cali grill last night for dinner. A 725 pm reservation. The guard didn’t even check our bands to see if we were telling the truth. Just said have a great time and park over there. we are staying at boardwalk but since they don’t give out parking passes anymore there is no way to tell. I thought they used to st least scan your magic bands.

Well, all I can tell you is that from personal experience, we've had security guards (whom I consider Disney Cast Members) at Contemporary and Beach Club tell us there is a time limit of 3 hours for parking when going to those resorts just for dinner. It's not every time, but approximately 50% of the time at those resorts - and we tend to visit during the times that aren't as crazy busy. 10+ years ago, we would get a paper (saying 3-hour limit) that was supposed to go on the dashboard of the car.

I can also say that the times we have used valet, we've never been told of a time limit.

People have different experiences because CMs are given different restrictions to put in place depending on how tight the parking situation is at the time. Anytime I’ve asked Disney about whether or not something is allowed I’ve received the same answer - CMs try to accommodate guest requests but have discretion to apply policies based on Disney’s business needs. That said, in 35 years’ worth of Disney trips, I’ve never been given a time limit for parking with an ADR.

We have never had an issue. We say we have a dinner reservation and they let us in.

They gave me one at the GF when I was there to dine.
