Resort Parking Question

Hi all,

We were planning on taking ME and then Disney transportation, until I just found an amazing deal on a rental car for the time we are there. We have DxDP and were planning on spending some time at some of the resorts. We have an ADR at Boardwalk one evening and we have never really spent much time in that area, so we thought we would go over in the afternoon, a few hours before our ADR to hang out and look around.

Is it okay if we park earlier than our ADR? We will, obviously, be at the resort the entire time we are parked there. But are there any issues I should be aware of with this?

Thanks,
Melissa

When you are not staying at the resort you are dining at, you are able to park for up to 3 hours while dining/looking around the resort. During busier times of the year, if you have dinner reservations at the resort, you may be asked for your reservation number. The guard may also record your car's license number.

If you suppose you will be at the resort for longer than 3 hours you could always valet park your car. If you pay to valet it, they are happy to keep your car for however long you'd like to stay that evening. :)

You may also want to know that you may or may not get a 3 hour restriction - I've not been given a parking pass for the past several years, including at the Poly, where parking tends to be pretty strict.

Then again, I normally am at WDW during the slower times of year. Also, the Boardwalk does tend to be a little more strict about parking because of their well-known parking shortage. There's a lot across the street where you would almost certainly have no restriction at all. (Go a bit past the BW entrance on your left, and this lot is on your right.)

Thanks everyone! If we are going to be there longer than 3 hours we'll either valet or try the other lot.

If you pull into the main lot and they don't give you a three hour pass, you're good to go - no need for valet. (Sounds like you don't plan to abuse the privilege, so I wouldn't feel bad if you end up being there for 3 hours and 36 minutes.)
