We are planning a long weekend (Fri-Mon) for Feb. I was wondering if you could please tell me your favorite resort. And from that resort, where is the best room to be in, so you are close to the park transportation (ex: bus, boat, monorail). We will be going to WDW & MGM for sure, maybe Epcot if we have time.

Thanks for your help! We stayed in the Value resorts last time, we were probably the furthest from the Cafe on both. And furthest from the bus also, for one! We don't want to have to leave the room and walk 15 mins to get to the bus stop!!:hourglass We will be cramming A LOT into a few days and want to be time conscientious. Can't wait to hear opinions on some resorts!

I can't come up with what room to stay in.

It's not advisable to request a specific room. If that room is not available, they'll put you anywhere. It's more advisable to request an area.

If you are staying at the value resorts or CBR, you can pay for a "preferred location" room, which is supposed to be located closer to the food court or bus stop.

The best resort for transportation is probably the Polynesian. Monorail or boat to MK (I assume when you say you want to spend time at WDW, you mean MK), walk to TTC and ride monorail to Epcot, bus service (shared with Contemporary and sometimes GF) to other parks.

If you want to concentrate on Epcot, the Beach Club and Boardwalk, plus the Swolphin, are within walking distance of both Epcot and MGM, which are also accessible by boat. Bus service is available to MK. The buses will share with at least one other resort. The late buses back from DTD and PI stop at all five.
