Hi! My wife and I are taking the kids to Disney for a two night stay and only plan on doing the pool. We are staying at the Grand Floridian. Has anyone stayed there recently who can comment on what the crowd levels were like at the resort and pool area? We are going to be there Thursday and Friday next week. Is the pool area crowded or is there enough space to be comfortable and feel relatively safe and distanced. Thanks I’m advance for your feedback!

We are scheduled to go to AKL next week and wondering the same. Really hoping the resort pools won’t be too crowded.

We were at the Grand mid July and the pools were full. Chairs are no longer spread apart like last year and by 1:00 pm, all were full.

We went to the courtyard pool as it was 2 adults, plus the feature pool was crowded too.

Unfortunately I would not expect much distancing

haven't stayed there but I can tell you fl kids are back to school Tuesday the 10th, that typically helps with crowds. Just sayin'

Have you considered a cabana rental?

We just came back from VGF and only did 1 park day when we were there so did mostly a resort stay. We rented cabanas for 2 days at 60 days out which really helped alleviate being stuck in the crowd at the pool. It was really worth the money IMO. There are four cabanas at GF so I don't think it would be available at this point so close to your stay. They are super popular! With the regular loungers, they were right next to each other so you won't find a lot of social distancing occurring. People were good about spacing in the pool.

We did not find the resort crowded in general and people were mostly respectful of personal space. We and others would let each family get into the elevator and wait for the next car. Not everyone did that but most of us didn't mind waiting a few more minutes. We dined inside at the GF Cafe and Kona Cafe. They are sitting people right next to each other.
