i just heard from the closing company that the resort was notified today. Cecked the OC Comptroller website and see it's been listed since 1/10, the closing company received my paperwork and final payment Monday of this week (1/22). How long does Disney usually take to process contracts and points become available for use? This is my first DVC purchase, it's taken awhile..just back and forth with paperwork...but all in all has gone pretty well!

I’m not sure what you’re seeing on the OC comptrollers site. Your deed won’t be recorded until after you close, and you can’t close until payment is made.

That said, you’re account is usually ready about 10 business days after the deed is recorded. You should get your member number in the mail a week or two after that.

Yes, it's officially closed, the closing company said expect 30-90 days for DVC to give an account number. That seemed a little long to me, but I figure they over estimate rather than under.

We are changing names on our contract. Member Services said they received all the recorded deed documents Jan 17th, and it would be another two weeks until they get to add it to the system. I'm assuming resale closings are in the same pile as my title change contract.
