Resort next to Caribbean Beach

A few years ago when we visited WDW there was construction going on next to the Caribbean Beach Resort. We were told at the time that that parcel of land did not belong to WDW and was being developed as a hotel or resort. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you may be referring to the Wyndham owned Fairfield at Bonnet Creek Resort.

Thanks. I don't know what made me think of it maybe since we will be in WDW on Sat. We haven't been to the Caribbean Beach in some time but I remembered all the construction.

I assumed that you were referring to Pop Century, which is next door. I remember them starting work there a few years ago.

I don't believe so. Like I said we were told at the front desk the property was not owned by Disney and it was directly to the left of the main road going towards the resort from the Custom House.

I stayed there in March---absolutely gorgeous condos and nice pool areas including one with a "lazy river" and a miniature golf course. They were building yet another two buildings while I was there I could see the CBR over a berm that borders the property.
