Resort mugs

We have two mugs from the All-Star Movies Resort from two years ago. We are staying there again in two days. Does anyone know if we can use the mugs again on this trip? Thanks for the info!

This is a hot topic on the boards.

The mugs are only good for your length of stay at the resort.
They have new mugs for YOMD that was last year and this year.


From what I have read on other threads there have been other guests that were using mugs that were not the YOMD and nothing was ever said to them.

The rule is length of stay. In previous years the mugs never changed so in theory you could cheat, but they are such a good deal that it is hardly justified. Come to think of it, when is it every justified?

We are moving in a few days and during our cleanup we came across about 12 Coronado Springs mugs that we collected over the years.

Back in the day when WDW first started selling the mugs they were sold as a forever type item. They were originally good for any stay at the particular hotel you purchased it at. That has changed over the years and most likely that's why you do see some using the older resort name mugs. I know some use the wrong resort mug or just any mug and that really is wrong, but at the start of the mug program they were sold as a forever at that resort type item and if I'm not mistaken they cost 7.99 back then!!
