Resort mugs are they now all the same?

I heard that the new resort mugs are now all the same, is this true. Can you use them at both resorts if you are doing a split stay?

Does anyone have a picture?

I don't have a picture, but all the resorts have switched over to the Year of a Million Dreams mugs. They're blue and white, feature the Fab Five, have blue lids and three different handle colors, blue black and silver. Kinda boring...I missed the old resort specific mugs, but bought a new one anyways as it's a good value.

Technically, you can't use your mug purchased at Resort A at Resort B...but if it's the same stay...and the mugs are identical...

They are all the same. We just returned from a split stay and my kids used them at both resorts. The available drinks were different (no root beer at CBR = disappointed kids) but the mugs are the same. I certainly wasn't going to buy a new one just because we switched resorts.

The mugs are all the same (oh how I miss the resort specific mugs and still hope that they bring them back) and there is a sign on the drink machines (at least at WL) that says something to the effect about the 'cups are good during length of stay at the resort the mug is purchased'. But we all know how that goes.....

The Contemporary is the other Resort not sell the YOAMD mugs, because the Food & Fun Center is closed and the temporary cs location is not able to sell drinks from the tap. So because of that they are not selling the mugs until the new cs locations opens up at the Concourse Steakhouse location.

Bummer Disney just lost $50 of our money.

We were looking forward to adding both Poly and BC mugs to our collection, this way we'll only get one set.

It makes no sense, especially for people who visit Disney frequently and stay at different hotels. One generic mug to use everywhere, all year....

The wording on the mugs has changed and you can now use them at any of the resorts but only during the stay in which you bought it. That should include split stays.

Well if you think about it by having the same mugs being sold at each Resort cs location, it's great for those who do split stays because they don't need to purchase the same ones again at their next Resort. It's also good for those visiting other Resorts because they could use the YOAMD mugs there if they got thirsty and would not need to purchase a drink in a bottle, or in a paper cup at the cs location.

That's true, I hadn't thought about it that way! We've never done a split stay and don't generally have our mugs with us when we go to other resorts.
I was just thinking of how much I like the design being specific to the resort that I am staying at. I'll continue to buy them, regardless of the design!

If anyone questions you, just tell them that half of the people on the Disboard said that you could not use the mug at all of the resorts, while the other half of the Disboards members said that you could. And you decided to go with the correct half.

I noticed in the picture of the mug that it has 2007 printed on it. When they change over to 2008, will the design be the same,with just a different year?

We just returned from a split stay. I was told when I purchased the mug that it was good at any resort for my length of stay. My parents were also told the same thing.
