Resort mug question

My family and I were just at WDW POR in July... do you think we would be able to use the same re-fillable mug when we go in December or will they have new ones out by then? We got free dining for December, but it doesn't come with the mug. figured we would bring our ones from July if we could save a few more $$'s Thanks in advance for any and all info!

You can only use the mug during your time that you are there. You can bring the mug but you can not get refills. Only good during the stay so the next trip if you want refills you have to buy another mug. Unless you buy the drinks to put in your old mug.

That question will get you flamed! It is a big NO-NO. Disney is actually implementing the same system they have on cruise ships (it popped up in a value a few months back) so that there is a chip in the bottom of the cup and the soda dispenser will only work during your room ressie period (granted it will probably not be in full effect to 2015 with the rate Disney makes changes!)

There should have been a sign when you bought the mugs saying they were only good for the stay in which it was bought.

Yes there are people that do it and will not admit to itand they use very old resort mugs, paper cups and even plastic rubbermaid containers and CM's witness this and do not do one darn thing to stop it

I wasn't looking to be sneaky or dishonest, was just wondering. I don't mind buying another mug just though if i was able to save a few dollars i would. we stayed at POR in july and had deluxe meal plan and got our mugs. I hope they are new mugs just so I have a diffrent one Thank you for your honest posts

I think soda's should be free like their cruises are. But we don't drink much soda and didn't drink very much on the ship either.

Usually new designs won't come out until sometime the next year. Disney has to deplete the old design first.

They seem to be currently testing using mugs equipped with RFID chips at the All-Stars. I'm sure that if they decide the technology does what they want, they won't hesitate to roll it out to stop the theft and improve sales.
