Hey guys, I know its really late but i would still love some opinions and input. I have POR booked for my Feb wedding and honeymoon. My question would be for the two of us would your rather book POR or POFQ? In your opinion which would be good for two 24 year old new married adults with no kids? Thanx very much.

Ooo! Your in the exact same dilema I'm in!! I don't know which one to saty at. i booked with POFQ BUT I was told Magnolia bend rooms in the POR are very "gone with the wind-ish". We're 23 and 26 and can't decided which one to saty at. I'm sure their both lovely but I am leaning towards POR. I'm subscribing to this!

I never stayed at POFQ. But I did get married at 24 with no kids and stayed POR for my honeymoon. It was very nice, quiet and gorgeous view right on the edge of the river. No matter where you stay it will be magical but I have nothing bad to say about our time at POR.

We will staying at the POFQ. We decided to stay here because I like the look of the room blocks and because it is the smaller resort out of the two so I'm hoping it may be a bit more personal.

They Are Pretty Much The Same Resort They Are On The Same Property Just Named Different On The Sides, Pofq Has 1 Bus Stop, Por Has 3-4 Bus Stops, Pofq Has A New Orleans Decor, Por Has A Southern Charm Decor You Can Walk Between The 2 And Use All The Ameneties At Both, So There Is No Difference Except Decor, They Are Both Nice! I've Stayed On Both Sides And Trust Me Beside Decor No Difference... They Are The Nicest Of The Moderate Resorts!!!!

As B2B said, FQ is a smaller resort. Depending on where your room location is, Riverside could be quite a walk from the bus stop.

Riverside is a bit quieter than FQ too...

Have fun!

We stayed at POFQ for our honeymoon we thought it looked more romantic with it being smaller, we loved it there and plan to stay there again.

DF and I have stayed at POFQ twice. Its a really pretty resort and DF really likes it. It was very quiet and peaceful both times we were there (Nov & Sept). We've never stayed at POR but I would love to try it out because it has a whole different feel to it than POFQ.

I have stayed at both POR and PORFQ. If you want privacy at the pools and in the outdoor areas I suggest POR. There are a lot of quiet smaller pools spread throughout the resort. PORFQ has only one pool and there are always screaming kids running around. At POR the families are drawn to the main pool on Ol' Man Island, so you can get plenty of quiet time at the other ones. Plus, there's a restaurant at POR if you want to grab a regular breakfast over the food court. :thumbsup2

DH and I stayed at POFQ and it was perfect! I had stayed there several times with my family as a child, and thought it would be perfect for our honeymoon. As stated by others above, FQ is smaller and bus access is much easier. We stayed in building 4, and it was close to the bus stop and food court and far enough away from the pool that you didn't hear the noise. It is such a quaint, romantic resort you really can't go wrong!

Hi! We recently stayed at POR in a king room in the alligator bayou section. It was wooded and private near our building. It is definately bigger that POFQ but very peaceful.

Here are a couple of pictures to help with your decision

Hope this helps! We really enjoyed our stay!

Sorry-I'm not sure why the pictures are small
