Resort Hotel Restaurants - Disney Rewards Card Question

To be fair, I haven't truly "looked" for the answer, but I'm hoping someone here will know (i.e. be faster) the answer:

Do the resort hotel restaurants (e.g., Steakhouse 55, Trader Sam's, Napa Rose, etc.) accept Disney Rewards cards (heck, or even Disney gift cards) as payment? We'd love to be able to use some of our accumulated funds outside of the parks on our next visit, but weren't sure if these were operated independently.

I use Disney gift cards to pay for everything at the restaurants, bars,shops at the hotels. I don't have Disney rewards, so can't speak to how to do that.

You can buy Disney Gift Card WITH THE REWARDS THEN use them within DLR !!! I found that this was the best way to use rewards
WITHOUT having to worry when they will expire!!! One time I lost out on $75 dollars worth of rewards so from then on I purchase Disney gift cards WITH reward card as soon as I hit $20 to $25 reward dollars ! I tend to get them while we're stay at the Disney hotels gift shops or the big Disney shop in Downtown Disney.

What a fantastic idea! I haven't had Rewards expire on me (yet), but I'm always watching those dates. Great to know there's a way around it, if it becomes an issue.

You can use the Reward cards anywhere you can use a Disney Gift Card. We just use the Disney Reward card while it's valid, but we did use the buy a Gift Card tip in December as our previous Reward Card was expiring and still had money on it. Now we have the Gift Card ready for our next trip.
