Resort hotel/pool home/condo/townhome for 11 near Universal

Before, I begin, I will say that I did post this question on the US/IOA board. Ok, after I decided on staying onsite at RPR (and got a two bedroom hospitality suite), now I'm starting to change my mind. What are the nicest (and it doesn't have to be the cheapest, since we were planning on spending all that money for the suite onsite) pool home/condo/townhoome communities that are very close to US. I like resort style facilities (there will be 3 teens and two 9 year olds).I would like to be in a complex that is a vacation property, as opposed to a residential area whose owner rented out her/his home. Yes, I know we'll be missing out on FOTL, but I'm willing to sacrifice if it will save us hundreds (and I believe it will. And we are not rich folk!) But, we do like to stay in nice places. We are planners, so we do plan on arriving to the parks before they open, and we'll be there for four nights. So, being able to do everything won't be a problem. Thanks for your help.

that means a 3-bedroom condo or timeshare... I will look around.

but I think that would mean Westgate Lakes. (but I really hate Westgate - so don't expect me to encourage anyone to stay there)

found some more - Orlando Sunshine Resort, Seasons Resort, Club Orlando, Harber Hall Lakeside villa.

now if you will settle for being closer to SW (which is only around 10 to15 minutes from US/IOA) - there are some of the nicest condo/timeshare around....

Cypress Pointe is not that far away from Universal (maybe 10-15 minute drive from condo to Universal's parkign garage) & you can take the back way to Universal by using Turkey Lake Rd & it will run you right to one of the Universal Entrances.

check to see if www.hotelkingdom.com has 3 bedrooms @ Cypress Pointe for your timeframe (you will probably need something more, maybe 2 3bedroom units unless you use the pull out couch, then 1 3bedroom & 1 2bedroom should work). They are a smaller resort, ALL units have been remodeled with in about the past year, new furnishings, wide screen HDTV in the living room & have nice sized pool behind the clubhouse, a fitness center, sand volleyball net set up, small convenience store & onsite mini putt putt area. the resort also shares amenities with Cypress Pointe Grand Villas so you will also have access to their pools as well.

There is a Winn Dixie grocery store within walking distance & in the same strip mall is a papa johns pizza & maybe even a chinese take out joint (not too sure on the chinese tho).

cici's pizza buffet is also only a hop skip and a jump from the resort, perfect for lunch or dinner for the teens & 9 yr olds! There are also lots of other restaurants within 5 minute car drive from the resort.
