Resort Hotel-Phone Check in

I thought I read in a post on another board that you can now check in via phone at the 3 resort hotels...anyone else experience or hear about this?

Our last stay at the GCH we used the phone check in. We flew into LGB and used our cell phone to call the hotel after we had picked up our rental car. It was kind of cool to do but I don't know if it really saved us any time once we got to the hotel. We still had to go to the desk and check in. I guess it lets them know you are on your way and will be there soon. It will be interesting to hear what other people have to say about it.

We're staying at the GC next month and I did notice on the confirmation email I received that it said you could pre-register by phone within 2 hours of your arrival. I'll definitely be doing it.
