We were thinking of splitting our stay next time...the question is for those who have...how do you transport your luggage from hotel to hotel? On disney transportation? Or a cab?

If you are going from a Disney resort to another Disney resort they will transfer your luggage for you. Just let your first hotel know that you are transfering and they will bring it over to your second hotel. Transfers are usually done in the afternoon so don't expect it to be right away (it is usually at the new hotel by 3pm). Disney buses will not allow you on (or they are not supposed to anyway) with luggage so your only other option would be a cab...

Let Disney do it- its super easy and stress free. The morning you are leaving one resort, just take your luggage to bell services and let them know what resort its going to. They have a drawer full of luggage tags- a different one for each resort. They put those on your luggage. When you check into your new resort and get your room, just call down to bell services and they will bring your bags up.

A lot of people think- oh my gosh what will I do without my luggage til 3pm?? Just take whatever you might need that day in a backpack, its really no big deal.

I agree with everyone else. Let Disney move the luggage. It's really easy. I usually have the first resort pick the bags up early in the morning before I leave for the parks. Then, I'll head out to the parks, and head over to the second resort around check-in time (3:00). My luggage has always been there by the time I go to check in. Don't forget to tip the bellmen :)
