We have a quick trip planned for December. One day will be for resort hopping to see some of the Christmas decorations.
My question is this...What is the best way to do this?
Do you have to just DRIVE from resort to resort (is that quicker)? When you get to the security gate what do you tell them.
Can you use Disney busses? (not staying on property this time)

Any info or advice would be great.

Thanks

The buses won't take you from resort to resort. Just tell the guard at the gate you are checking out the resort and they should let you in.

I would start with the monorail hotels. You can tell the guard that you are checking out the hotel, as suggested earlier and he or she will probably give you a 3 hr. parking pass.
I'm trying to think, I've stayed at all 3, the GF the CR & the Poly and I think the Poly might have the closest self parking lot. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Then you can go from one resort to the next by monorail to check them out, ending up at the one you have parked at.

I would suggest driving to the Wilderness Lodge next, it's just a hop & a skip from the Poly. It's well worth seeing their decorations.

Next, drive over to the Boardwalk Inn, tell the guard the same story and from there, check it out, then exit out the back of the resort and you can walk around Cresent Lake to visit the Beach Club, the Yacht Club, the Swan & the Dolphin.

Last but not least, drive over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The amazing lobby tree is a must see! Then eat at either one of the excellent restaurants at the AKL, Jiko or Boma!
Enjoy! :sunny:
