Resort hopping with car to use QSDP

just wondering how easy it is to go to other resorts to use the food courts to use QSDP credits with your own car? When you go to security do they let you in easily if you explain why you are there?

We are staying at POR this year but we love Everything Pop food court and were hoping to make a few visits by car. Have used DDP before but never really felt te need to resort hop til we fell in love with Pop last year but already had this years trip booked.

We went to AoA from POFQ to eat at the food court and just walk around to look at the Cars area. We just told security we were staying at POFQ and were going to AoA to eat, he let us in with no problem.

Thanks, I thought it would be OK but wasnt sure as we had never tried before. We totally fell in love with Pop and AoA when we stayed there last year but from the UK we get free dining in moderates so booked POR. Both of us are desperate for a little trip back to Pop.

The only places you might run into issues would be MK and Epcot resorts. There are also several QS places in DS. Staying at POR you can use the boat to go there rather than driving (either by car or bus). We eat at Wolfgang Puck Express several times a trip paying OOP.

We've always used Disney transportation to hop before (even for QS), but we had friends drive to the Contemporary to meet up with us for dinner at Contempo Cafe once, and they had no problems parking.

As a suggestion, staying at POR you can walk down to POFQ about 5 to 10 minutes depending on where your room is located at POR. Both of these food courts offer different selections. You might want to check out the menu's. Also there is a boat at POR and POFQ to take you to Disney Springs, several good spots for QS meal options.


Instead of driving (your rental I am assuming here), you could catch a bus from on of the parks and head over that way to AOA, then bus it back to parks or DS and catch the boat if you wanted. We have some friends, that leave the parks for lunch sometimes dinner and pick out a resort to have lunch or dinner and then check out the resort.

We've driven to other resorts to eat QS as well. We just tell the security that we are coming in to eat or look around. Never had a problem.

I agree that you will not have any problems whatsoever doing this. My dh and I did this in August. We parked at Poly, AKL, and BC. No problem at all.
