Resort hopping questions

I'm looking at adding a couple of days to the front of my next trip. I think this may be a good opportunity to experience a new resort (and in doing so, save a bit on the extra days).

I'm staying at AKL already and looking to add the prior Saturday and Sunday at one of the Port Orleans resorts.

1) is there any luggage/moving assistance with the resort hop?
2) is it possible to add dining plan for those 2 days, or link & extend my existing plan from AKL?

Any advice, ideas, and feedback would be appreciated.

1. Yes, Disney will move your luggage for you. Be prepared for your luggage to be available at resort #2 around 3 or 4 in the afternoon.
2. Yes you can add the dining plan for those 2 days. But it would be a completely separate package, you would not be able to extend it from your AKL stay.
