Resort Hopping - Day 2 - Feb 21
***Sorry for the delay, got in to late to write last night. ***
Well the weather could not be better. Started my day off at 7:30 am, the weather is just beautiful. It's already 73 degrees outside. Man, I love wearing shorts in Feb!
First I'm off to DTD Marketpace, have to pick up my 3 day hopper that I bought from Alamo. And check the pluses on an old pass. This goes off with out a hitch. But the people who were in there with me were having some problems, it seems the resorts can not really tell you how many days you have on your tickets. Only those in guest relations, in the guest relations uniforms can do that. The poor lady was told that she still had 4 days left on a old hopper, but when she tried to use it at the gate they would not let her in. So to make sure that this does not happen to you, make sure that you go to guest relations to check the days you have left on your old hopper tickets.
After that I headed off to Pin Traders, noticed the sharks already setting up out front. But in side it was nice. I was able to make a couple of trades with some cast members, and buy a few pins that I have had my eye on. But I did have to hold myself back. I keep telling my self that I will be here for a few days, so I don't have to buy every thing that I want right now. But I tell you I think I could spend all my money for this trip in there, if I didn't have the will power to walk out.
Now its off to the buses. Now I was hoping to start my day off at the Grand Floridian. So I get to the proper bus stop, sit down and wait. Then I see a bus coming around the corner. But what was weird about this bus, was that it said that it was going to the MAGIC KINGDOM! But that can't be right. It has been stated many times on these boards that you can not pick up a bus from DTD to one of the parks. So I go up and ask the driver, if he was really going to MK. He in turn as me were it was that I was trying to get to. I told him GF. He said that he was really going to the Contemporary, and that I could take the monorail to the GF. This I knew, so I hopped on, and was soon on my way to GF, by was of the monorail from the Contemporary. Before getting on the Monorail to GF, I was able to make a few trades with some more CMs.
I must tell you what I saw from the monorail, when going to the GF. We go over the TTC, and tons of people were every where. This was at 11am, and the monorail and ferry to Mk was standing room only. And there were more people coming in the gates to the TTC.
The Grand Floridian, is such a beautiful hotel. Just feels like you are steping back in time when you walk through the doors. I made a quick stop at M. Mouse Mercantile, picked up some postcards, and yes, made a couple of trades with some CMs. Then I walked around the main building taking some pics. Words can not describe this place, even with out its Christmas decorations, its still beautiful. Then I made it out to the pool, close to the main building. Its not a very big pool, but there was still room for every one who wanted to be there. So I take a sit and write some notes, for my trip report, and just enjoy the sun and view. Seeing how I was going to have dinner at the Poly on day 3, I decided that I would choose a hotel that I have yet to set foot on. So I head off to Coronado Springs.
Getting to Coronado took a little longer than I tought it would. I thought I would be able to just go to the TTC and take a bus from there. WRONG! I had to take bus to one of the parks and then take a bus from that park to the hotel. O.K so I am off to MGM (Because that was the bus that showed up at that time.) And THEN I will be off to the Coronado.
